Would you like to learn more about the inner workings of State Government and a variety of career fields?  The Office of Policy and Management (OPM) offers student internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students during each semester (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer).

OPM functions as the Governor’s staff agency and plays a central role in state government, providing the information and analysis used to formulate public policy for the State.  The agency is headed by a Secretary and Deputy Secretary; and has 8 divisions which report to the Office of the Secretary:

  1. Budget and Financial Management
  2. Criminal Justice Policy and Planning
  3. Office of Finance

  5. Office of Labor Relations
  6. Policy Development and Planning
  7. Office of Transportation Policy
  8. Administration (which includes Human Resources, Business Operations, Accounting/Audit and Information Systems Support)

Legal and legislative liaison functions are included under the Office of the Secretary.
